Expert Talk on ‘Strategies for HEIs NEP2022’ at GNA University
Internal Quality Assurance Cell of GNA University organized an expert talk on Strategies for HEIs – NEP 2020. The sole objective behind the talk was to apprise the academicians at the University with the various strategies to be implemented for higher education.
Jalandhar, September 24, 2022: Internal Quality Assurance Cell of GNA University organized an expert talk on Strategies for HEIs – NEP 2020. The sole objective behind the talk was to apprise the academicians at the University with the various strategies to be implemented for higher education.
Dr. V K Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor and Dr. R K Mahajan, the Registrar GNA University extended floral welcome to the resource person, Dr. Devender Kawaday, Adviser to NAAC.
Dr. Disha Khanna, Dean Faculty of Liberal Arts set the stage by acquainting the worthy audience about the significance of the NEP2020 policy. Dr. Kawaday spoke about required steps to be taken for adopting NEP in the HEIs. He focused on Quality and Value-based education and apprises the audience with the importance of vocational courses in HEIs. He said, “The core focus of the NEP 2020 is to make our students a decision maker along with inculcating characteristics like creativity, critical thinking, problem solving attitude etc.”
Dr.Kawaday advised the faculty members to focus on 14 sectors mentioned in Productive Linked Incentive Scheme to enhance the employability. He fully elaborated the importance of multidisciplinary, outcome-based and holistic education in the life of a student.
Kunal Bains, the Deputy Registrar GNA University extended the vote of thanks to the resource person.
Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor, GNA University honoured the presence of Dr.Kawday with a token of gratitude. He exclaimed, “I am really delighted to have Dr Kawdey amongst us today in the sprawling campus of GNA University.”
