Experts from PUM Netherlands visited DAVIET for incubating the innovative ideas

Jalandhar, May 2, 2023: Michiel Westermann, Incubation expert PUM Netherlands visited DAV Institute of engineering & Technology (DAVIET), Jalandhar for collaboration on building sustainable business incubation in the institute. PUM was founded in 1978 and is currently operative in 35 countries. PUM, financially assisted by Government of  Netherlands, provides free assistance to Industries and Institutions for upgrading their technical/ managerial setup/ Incubation Centre. PUM has assisted more than 45000 Institutions/Industries, organized several successful seminars/workshops, and supported the formation of several incubators and training centers.

Michiel shared that PUM senior experts with vast experience can offer valuable advice in all areas to DAVIET. As per the collaboration between PUM and DAVIET, it is the objective of PUM Netherlands Senior Experts to participate in this process of making knowledge and expertise available to DAVIET free of charge.

Besides supporting DAVIET in incubation, PUM will also support in research, development, technology up-gradation, standardization of products, quality up-gradation, and any other requirement of the Institution.

Michiel had visited Engineering, Business Administration, Hotel Management and Computer Application departments from April 25th to May 01, 2023 and interacted with the students and guided them towards business ideas.

Dr. Sanjeev Naval, Principal DAVIET thanked Michiel Westermann, KR Jain, PUM representative India and PUM Netherlands team for choosing DAVIET, among other institutions for such collaboration for promoting entrepreneurship. He appreciated the Centre of Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) Cell, especially Vishav Kapoor and Ratish Bhardwaj for initiating these kinds of activities from time to time to promote entrepreneurship among the students of DAVIET. He highlighted that we could steer the nation forward by taking initiatives and being job providers. He reiterated his belief that DAVIET students will be the trendsetters and market leaders, even in entrepreneurship development. He also informed that the Institution provides space for the start-ups on the campus to start the business.
