Mohali/Chandigarh, June 9, 2024: The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has made its preparations for the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup and the players of Trident Stallions are also ready for their match. Before the start of season-2, the team had made IPL star Nehal Wadhera the captain of the team, but due to being on national duty, he will not be able to support the team.

In the absence of Nehal, explosive wicketkeeper batsman Prabhsimran Singh has been appointed as the new captain of Team Trident. Team owner Rajinder Gupta ji expressed happiness over his joining the team and said that he will make up for Nehal's absence and put the team in the race for the title. Prabhsimran will be accompanied by IPL stars like Ramandeep, Baltej and Gurnoor in this journey.

Prabhsimran Singh played IPL-2024 for Punjab Kings this time and is known for scoring runs fast. He scored 334 runs for the team in 14 matches, in which his innings of 71 runs was his best. He kept batting at a strike rate of 156.81 and scored 2 half-centuries in big matches. This time too, Trident Stallions will have such expectations from him.
