Ludhiana, May 12, 2022: Exposure visit of Agro Processing trainees was conducted by KVK Sri Muktsar sahib on dated May 11 to School of Business Studies and Department of Processing and Food engineering, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana with motive to train potential Agripreneurs on processing and marketing issues how to label,Pack food to attract end users, how to fix price of food products along with distribution strategies.Special emphasis was laid on how to promote food around production units with special emphasis on Eat “Locally Grown food”for healthy life.Dr. Rohit Sharma emphasized on various food Processing operations and machinery to enhance production efficiency for cottage level food processing initiatives.
Trainees also discussed problems they are facing in Question/Answer session and all problems were resolved with promise that trainees will be in touch with Dr Ramandeep Singh Professor-Cum-Director school of Business Studies. Dr Karamjit Sharma, Professor of Extension Education KVK Sri Muktsar Sahib and Dr Gurmail Singh organized exposure visit with motive to showcase food processing and Marketing work of PAU trained Agripreneurs. Engineer Mahekpreet kaur, Technical Coordinator of this training, thanked Dr Nirmaljit Singh Dhaliwal, Associate Director cum Course Coordinator, KVK Sri Muktsar Sahib for arranging exposure visit along with all resource persons and trainees for active participation.
