FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS COACHES AND TRAINERS
THROUGH THIS VIRTUAL FDP A COMMON PLATFORM HAS BEEN CREATED
Chandigarh: Panjab University Chandigarh Directorate of Sports organised Faculty Development Programme for Director of sports ,Physical Education teachers, Coaches and Trainers in collaboration with National Council of Physical Education and sports Sciences ,here today.
Through this Virtual FDP a Common platform has been created where the distinguished Speakers and Participants from India and Overseas will be joining their hand together from a distance to discuss on the main theme as well as on the sub themes Sports Goverence Sports coaching and Training, Sports medicine sports nutrition sports technology, Health education sports Psychology sports management Olympism , Inclusive Education health Education Anti Doping, Humanity for sports Yoga and meditation , new avenues in sports and management etc.
The Faculty Development Programme was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of PU, Prof Raj Kumar.
Dr Rakesh Malik Organising Secretary of the program and Deputy Director Sports Elaborated the Theme " *Celebrating and Reviving Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Olympic Year"* "of the Program and thanked Vice Chancellor for his motivation to organise some kind of event through Virtual mode and NCPESS for their collaboration for bringing this into reality .
Dr Parminder Singh, Chaiman of the Program and Director Sports Welcomed the chief Guest Prof Raj Kumar Vice Chancellor PU and the participants.He also highlighted the university achievements and happy to share that PU was the Champion of MAKA Trophy as well as the Champion of KHELO INDIA UNIVERSITY GAMES .He said the organising The virtual FDP is an attempt to bring the like minds together to work for the sports and community
The Vice Chancellor Prof Raj Kumar addressed the virtual gathering and Appriciatiate the efforts of Dr Parminder Singh Dr Rakesh Malik and entire organising team for organising this mega event .He said we have heard sports persons are very strong but your team has proved you are actually and said you are not only Fit for the ground but most suitable to spread the knowledge for sports and fitness among the sports persons and common people. He Congratulated the participants for joining this programme.
Mr Neeraj Mehra also addressed the participants . The day one speakers Dr Samant and Dr Rakesh Gupta from India and Prof Jack Pang from China To make this programme most effective appreciate 12 Indian speakers and 11 speakers from different countries will be shairing their experiences with the participants .
