FARM WORKERS TRAINING PROGRAMME AT PAU

Ludhiana, May 18, 2017: A three months course on inceasing crop yield for the benefit of beldaars and gardners has been organised by the Directorate of Extension Education, PAU, under the expert guidance of Director, Extension, Dr R.S.Sidhu.

On the occasion, Progressive farmer, Mahinder Singh Dosanjh shared his farming experience with the participants.

The course coordinator, Dr Tejinder Singh Riar informed that the programme is geared towards making farmers progressive as they get to learn in detail about agriculture and subsidiary occupations.

A total of 30 PAU employees from various agricultural departments are participating in this programme that will focus on crop yield, fruits and vegetables and their diseases, insect pests and their control, bee keeping, mushroom farming,animal husbandry etc.

The participants will be awarded certificates at the end of the programme.

Dr Rupinder Kaur presented the vote of thanks.
