Farmers ecstatic as payments worth Rs 103 crore deposited directly into their bank accounts of Ludhiana farmers
Farmers thank Punjab government for ensuring their payments within 48 hours of procurement
Ludhiana: The farmers of Ludhiana district are ecstatic as payments worth Rs 103 crore have been deposited into their bank accounts. The farmers said that with the help of the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, they are getting benefitted to a large extent.
A farmer named Harinderpal Singh informed that he had sold his wheat crop in Machhiwara grain market on April 12, 2021, and payment worth Rs 1,95,525 has been deposited into his bank account without any problem.
Similarly, Gurinderpal Singh of village Rahimabad said that he has also received the 1–222 degrees from national payment of his wheat crop on time.
Farmer named Sukhjit Singh of village Todarpur said that payment of Rs 231667 has been deposited into his bank account without any problem.
Similarly there are several other farmers of district Ludhiana to whom payments worth Rs 103 crore have been made directly into their bank accounts till now. The farmers have thanked the Punjab government for ensuring payments of their wheat crop within set time frame.
Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu also assured the farmers that they would payments of their wheat crop within the set time frame. He also assured the farmers that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed for the welfare of farmers and they are ensuring that no farmer spends the night in the mandis.
