Farooqui says focused to ensure transparency in Punjab Waqf Board
Punjab Waqf Board is determined to accelerate the speed of development works in Ludhiana Circle. In the session 2022-23, Ludhiana circle collected the highest revenue of Rs 8.80 crore for the Punjab Waqf Board. The development works are being done in Ludhiana regarding education, mosques, madrassas and graveyards. In Punjab Waqf Board since ADGP, M.F. Farooqui has taken over as administrator, works worth lakhs of rupees have been completed and several development projects have been initiated.
Ludhiana, June 8, 2023: Punjab Waqf Board is determined to accelerate the speed of development works in Ludhiana Circle. In the session 2022-23, Ludhiana circle collected the highest revenue of Rs 8.80 crore for the Punjab Waqf Board. The development works are being done in Ludhiana regarding education, mosques, madrassas and graveyards. In Punjab Waqf Board since ADGP, M.F. Farooqui has taken over as administrator, works worth lakhs of rupees have been completed and several development projects have been initiated.
A total of 13 mosques and madrassas of Ludhiana circle were released funds for development projects worth Rs.13.25 lakh, which have been spent.
Ludhiana Circle Estate Officer Muhammad Ayub said that they are continuously doing good work under the leadership of Administrator M.F. Farooqui. Many good works have been done in Ludhiana Circle in the past. A new target of Rs 15 crore has been set by the Punjab Waqf Board, to achieve for which all the employees are working day and night. The decisions regarding the files of various works including many mosques and graveyards in Ludhiana circle will come soon.
- Islamia Public School located on Rahon Road has been given a fund of Rs 15.50 lakh by the Punjab Waqf Board, in which many development works have been carried out along with the construction of the main gate of the school, installation of tiles in the rooms, construction of new rooms are underway.
- An area of 7 kanals has been reserved for the graveyard in village Bhatti.
- An area of 16 kanals has been reserved for the graveyard in Bhammipur Tehsil Jagrawan.
- 15 kanals of land has been reserved for the graveyard in village Budhowal.
- 1000 yards of land has been reserved for madrassa in Gonspur village.
- 6,000 rupees are being released every month to 8 mosques in Ludhiana.
- A graveyard is also being constructed in Haibowal Kalan, the file work of which has been completed. This matter was pending for years.
- The condition of Hawara Masjid was very bad, the land has been protected while 'martyring' that Masjid and there is another Masjid next to it, it is being run in a good manner.
Administrator M.F. Farooqui, IPS, said that every demand of the Muslim community is being fulfilled by bringing transparency in the Punjab Waqf Board. Our main focus is on the development of graveyards, mosques and education. All the illegal occupants of the board places in the state are being legally given leases. Excellent work is going on in the entire Punjab including Ludhiana.
