Fashion Designing Institute signs MoU with UP University

Chandigarh, March 27, 2023: Orane FDM, an Institute of Fashion, Design & Management, Chandigarh has signed an MoU with Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Nidhi Sidhu  Founder-Director, Orane FDM signed the MoU with  Dr Pintu Mishra, Dean, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut at the Orane FDM Campus at Sec 34.  It is noteworthy that Nidhi has forayed into fashion education after carving out a niche for herself as an actor in both  Punjabi and Bollywood films.

With the agreement between the two education providers, students of Orane FDM will now also be able to also get a Masters degree through the University along with a Bachelor's which they are pursuing at Orane FDM. The objective of this MoU is to sharpen students' expertise by  providing them an opportunity to do post graduate  studies thereby improving  their placement opportunities.
 

“I am happy to have partnered with Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. Under the agreement  Orane FDM will be imparting quality education, training and skills to the under-graduate students and who will then be further groomed in their post-graduate studies by experts of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University," said Nidhi Sidhu, adding Orane FDM will also extend critical assistance in placing them.

Nidhi Sidhu revealed that Orane FDM has three labs where specific training is imparted in pattern making, fashion illustration, garment designing, textile design, and graphics. There are many other facilities for the students of interior designing, she added.

Dr Pintu Mishra, Dean, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, said that in view of numerous changes having taken place in the field of fashion over the years, our association with Orane FDM will go a long way 
in equipping the  students with employable and entrepreneurial skills. 

Experts from our University will visit Orane FDM campus regularly to upskill  students in a practical way. "There are a good number of fashion design students in Orane FDM and so we will get an opportunity to make a large number of students employable," summed up Dr Mishra.
