Fashion Show held to mark arrival and celebration of Shaadi By Marriott

Hyderabad, November 9, 2019: “Shaadi By Marriott”(SBM) debuts in Telangana. The two-day event comes to Hyderabad. SBM is a new concept to the Telugu states showcasing pioneering proficiency at creating specially curated personalized and memorable wedding experiences. The two-day event concludes with a Grand Fashion Show presented by Marriott International associated with Wedding Vows.

'Shaadi by Marriott', a specially created innovative concept with the intent to craft unique and personalized wedding experiences, that come alive with great food, fabulous venues, exquisite décor and above all, unparalleled service. The event comprised many events like Mehndi, Sangeeth and others is held yesterday and today.

Addressing a press conference before the fashion show, Mr Sudeep Sharma - General Manager - Hyderabad Marriott & Courtyard; Mr Vikas Sharma – Sheraton; Mr Parag Sawhaney – Westin; Le Meridien Hyderabad (Rakesh Upadhyay, General Manager); Ms Shibani Malhotra - Marriott Executive Apartment informed that the Fashion Show was planned to celebrate the launch of Shaadi By Marriott.

Anju Modi (who set fire on screen with her latest project in Bajirao Mastani) Showcased her line ‘THE ARCHIVE’. Aditi Rao was the showstopper. Swapnil Shinde showcased his designs. Harbajan Singh and Geeta Basra walked on the ramp as showstoppers for his collection.

The show was styled by Esha Amin - Bollywood celebrity stylist.

“Shaadi by Marriott” is a uniquely curated concept. 'Shaadi by Marriott' debuted in Hyderabad this week. Two days of gala events planned to mark its launch.

Elaborating further about Shadi by Marriott, Mr. Sudeep Sharma, Mr Vikas Sharma, Mr Parag Sawhaney, Mr. Rakesh Upadhyay and Ms Shibani Malhotra informed that the event was organised by Shaadi by Marriott -Hyderabad Chapter. The concept has already made impact inroads in cities like Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Delhi; and is going to be held for the first time in Hyderabad. This is an event to showcase the actual wedding experience without a bride and groom. It is also an event to showcase Hyderabad as the wedding destination.

Sharing more details of “Shaadi by Marriott”, the local leadership team of the Marriott informed that this event was planned in partnership with The Westin Mindspace Hyderabad, Sheraton Hotel Hyderabad, Le Meridien Hyderabad and Marriott Executive Apartments. Nearly 250 wedding professionals, wedding planners, stylists, designers were invited to participate from across India. A unique wedding coach, a bus was designed to transport these professionals from place to place on both days the 8th and 9th November. They arrived in the city on 8th at The Westin Mindspace Hyderabad. They were transported to Sheraton where they were given a traditional welcome with Arti-tika, Punjabi Dhol and Bhaliya. And they participated in the Mehndi function. Besides experiencing Mehendi being applied to them, they also witnessed live bangle making, a craft very special to this place.

Then they moved on to Marriott Executive Apartments, for an evening. They moved to The Westin Mindspace Hyderabad where they were welcomed with Nagada & Santoor and participate in the Sangeet Function.

On day two of the event on Saturday they experienced Yoga at Westin, had lunch at Le Meridien and arrived in the evening at Hyderabad Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre, to witness a Fashion Show by Anju Modi and Swapnil Shinde. Some of the top Indian models walked on the ramp. The designers showcased their designer wedding clothes collection.

Aditi Rao walked the ramp as the showstopper for Anju Modi’s collection. Harbajan Singh and Geeta Basra walked on the ramp as showstoppers for the collection of Swapnil Shinde. The event was organised by Wedding Vows for Marriott International.
