He pointed out that the medium and large scale industries could not manufacture these items but the medium and large scale companies were manufacturing these products which was a sheer violation of law.

Adding, he said some large companies were involved in manufacturing of Bread, Sauces, Pickles, in Punjab also some large companies were manufacturing Mustard oil, Stainless Steel and Aluminium Utensils, Laundry Soaps, Exercise Books, Padlocks, Safety Matches, Wooden and Steel Furniture.

“The FASII has initiated an enquiry to collect the data throughout the country to get the names of the companies violating these rules”, said Jindal.

He revealed that a complaint has already been registered with the Ministry of MSME so as to check these violations throughout the country. “Today, a meeting has been held in this regard with Director, MSME-DI Punjab S.S. Dhillon, who has assured to enquire into the matter”, he said.

Jindal said it was also the duty of the state government to check these violations but all the state governments had failed to implement this law strictly and specially the Punjab Government where the violation was at large scale.

He said the medium and large scale companies had no right to grab the opportunities of Micro and Small Industries.

“Any unit who crosses its plant and machinery limit of Rs. 5 crores cannot manufacture these reserved products”, he revealed.
