Ludhiana, February 20, 2013: Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII) has strongly condemned the strike of employees unions in India.

In a statement here on Wednesday, the FASSI national president Badish Jindal added the bank strike is directly effecting the industry, presently the bank's lending in India is Rs. 46 lakh crores. Of this, Rs 27 lakh crore lending is to the industry, which incurs an interest amount of more than Rs. 2000 crores just in two days.

He said in Punjab the lending is more than Rs. 2.15 lakh crores.

He believed that there will a transaction loss of more than Rs. 8,000 crores in Punjab in two days , only the Ludhiana will incur the transaction loss of Rs. 1,600 crores in two days, the industry of Punjab will have to pay around Rs. 70 crores as an interest for two days. 

“FASII request the government to wave off the interest for two days on all the categories of the industry as the industry is deprived of its right to deposit the money”, said Jindal.
