Fastener Manufacturers Association of India celebrates its Golden Jubilee 

Ludhiana, March 19, 2023: Fastener Manufacturers Association of India celebrated its Golden Jubilee at CICU Complex, Phase V on 18th March. 

The Association came into existence in 1971 with around 25 like- minded members, who formed association known as Ludhiana Nut Bolt Association to combat the challenges like central excise, steel procurement ( at that time steel quota allotment problem) , electricity problems etc. The Association later renamed as Fastener Manufacturers Association of India as members from other states joined association & association progressed in leaps and bounds and made remarkable name in State, National & at International levels. At present association is having 450 plus members & more than 600 members as it's associate members.

Mohinder Paul Jain – Chairman FMAI welcomed all the members & guests & narrated how FMAI came into existence.

 
While addressing the huge gathering President Narinder Bhamra remembered all founder members and paid tribute to each and everyone for their sacrifices, hard work and commitments. President also shared with members about different activities of association & how association is working on different platforms to counter sub-standard imports from China. FMAI have taken up the matter with DPIIT to impose BIS on imports and fully supported QCO - Quality Control Order so that imports from China be stopped & local Industry should flourish. Similarly, the association had requested imposition of MIP on imports and the same is under consideration. FMAI is also trying for imposition of anti-dumping duty on imports from China to safeguard domestic Industry. Besides FMAI is given representation in BIS council to give positive feedback on improvement / amendments in BIS standards. To provide members platform to know latest technology, FMAI is organising trips to China, Taiwan, Germany, USA etc & in line with this endeavour a delegation of FMAI is going to Taiwan the month of June'23. General Secretary Kuldeep is presented the Balance Sheet of FMAI, which were approved by the House.
 

Present on the occasion Chief Guest Varinder Sharma - Director MSME congratulated FMAI on Golden Jubilee and apprised members about different schemes of MSME and every possible help to FMAI. Upkar Singh Ahuja - President CICU, Badish Jindal-  president FOPSIA, Pankaj Sharma - Gen. Secy CICU, Rajnish Ahuja - President APEX Chamber, K K Garg – President – North India Furnace Association, Rakesh Pathak – G M, R & D Centre , congratulated FMAI on Golden Jubilee & appreciated the working of FMAI, Raj Kumar Singla Sr. Vice President also shared his thoughts & efficient working of Association.
