Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr Amar Singh chairs meeting of Airport Advisory Committee Sahnewal
Various agenda points were discussed in the meeting
Ludhiana: Member Parliament (MP) Fatehgarh Sahib Dr Amar Singh, who is also a Chairman of the Airport Advisory Committee of Sahnewal on Monday, chaired a meeting of the committee to discuss various agendas at Bachat Bhawan here.
MP Dr Amar Singh was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ludhiana Varinder Kumar Sharma, Airport Director SK Saran, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC General) Amarjit Singh Bains and Congress leader Kamil Singh Boparai.
Various agenda points including footpath on airport approach road, heavy truck parking on airport approach road, tall tree pruning, waste management, airport location signboard on GT Road, obstacle marking, airport approach road etc were discussed in the meeting.
MP Dr Amar Singh listened to the issues and asked the concerned officials to expedite the process to solve them at the earliest. He also assured every kind of help to the airport authorities for the smooth functioning of the Sahnewal Airport.
Meanwhile, Dr Amar Singh also informed that the work of carpeting the approach road and construction of the boundary wall at new Halwara International Airport is on full swing and the new airport will be functional as soon as possible.
