Fatehgarh Sahib MP lays foundation stone new shed worth Rs 83 lakh in grain market
Says the setting up of the shed would solve the problems of the farmers, labourers and commission agents
Raikot: Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr Amar Singh on Sunday laid the foundation stone of the new shed to be constructed at the cost of Rs 83 lakh in the grain market.
Addressing the people during the event, Dr Singh said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh is carrying out development works on the mission mode in the state.
He said that the farmers and commission agents were facing huge problems due to the unavailability of the shed during the procurement season of the crops as the grains used to get damaged due to inclement weather. Besides, the farmers and labourers were to sit openly in the summer due to the absence of any shed cover.
MP told that the setting up of the shed would solve the problems of the farmers, labourers and commission agents.
SDO Jatin Singla added that the shed would be spread over a 15000 square ft area and would come up at the cost of Rs 83.12 lakh. He said that work would be over in the next three months.
