Father dies in road mishap, son injure seriously at Ferozepur

Ferozepur, March 29, 2014: One person has died in road mishap while his son received serious injuries at Ferozepur-Faridkot road.

Gurdial Singh, ASI, Kulgarhi police station said that Naveen Goyal son of Bhagwandass Goyal resident of Ferozepur Cantonment, was going along with his Jay Goyal on a motorbike at his godown situated at Ferozepur -Faridkot road. Naveen Goyal, who was an electronic shop proprietor, was going there to collect some electronic equipments from godwon.

While driving, his bike was hit by a car due to which he lost balance and hit a tractor-trolley, which was standing along the road. The impact was fatal and Naveen Goyal died on the spot while his son received major injuries. Jay Goyal, was sent to civil hospital for medical attention but due to his deteriorating condition, he was referred to Ludhiana by doctors.  

Gurdial Singh, ASI said the though the driver of the car managed to flee, a case has been registered against him. Besides, the police is hunting for the flee driver.

A wave of shock was spread among the residents of Ferozepur cantonment after hearing the sad demise of Naveen Goyal.
