New Delhi, December 8, 2012: The political game of "opposition and abstaining" on FDI in Retail has ended the debate in Parliament of questioning the creditability of UPA and also on SP and BSP. The so called victory claimed by UPA is a dirty picture of manipulative politics which needs to be condemned in strongest words. It will prove to be a "waterloo" for UPA and other parties supporting FDI since its not an issue of one section but has become a national issue due to its adverse impact on livelihood of crores of people in the country which will now decided by votes in forthcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections, said B C Bhartia, CAIT President and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal in a statement yesterday.

"Now the real crusade against FDI in Retail will begin and will take this issue down the electorates and will put UPA and other parties in question box of public. To attain justice, if required, we will not hesitate to go to apex court.

They said that the FDI policy suffers from various lacunas and provide most extra ordinary benefits to MNCs. We have convened an emergent meeting of the trade leaders of different states on December 16-17at Jaipur to take stock of the situation and top formulate strategy to expose sinister game of politics played by UPA in collusion with SP and BSP.

It is a matter of great surprise that both SP and BSP claims to be the champion for the cause of down trodden section and this is the section which is going to affected badly.

The “Jugaad Rajneeti” in the Country has been given a place in Indian democracy by UPA and others. They cannot escape from the charges of gross manipulation, not following the proper democratic process and establishing wrong facts and figures just to please the global retailers. Yesterday’s happenings have also exposed an unholy nexus between UPA Government, Big Corporate Houses and global retailers. At the cost of livelihood of crores of people of the country, an attempt has been made to handover Indian retail trade to MNCs to control and dominate. Such move is not acceptable and will be opposed tooth and nail.
