Jalandhar, December 30, 2014: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar in collaboration with GNDU College, Jalandhar has organised 12 days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) under the aegis of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) from December 30 to January 10 next.
This programme is being sponsored by Department of Science and Technology (DST). The motive behind organizing the FDP is to make the participants aware about entrepreneurship and the incentives being given by government agencies and to develop lateral thinking amongst participants on creation, development, evaluation and analysis of business ideas. Some of the main themes that would be covered during the span of 12 days would be Entrepreneurship-An Introduction, Identification of New Business Ideas, Introduction to Small Businesses etc.
The inaugural of the FDP which commenced today in Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar was organised on a grand scale. The Registrar of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar Sh. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Prof. Ashish Arora, Co-ordinator of the FDP & Assistant Prof., GNDU College, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar and Prof. M.J. Kalra, Associate Prof., GNDU College, Ladowali Road, Jalandhar were welcomed by Dr. Sucharita, Principal of the College who said that this FDP with special focus on 'Technology Entrepreneurship' will promote entrepreneurial spirit amongst the faculty members from different colleges who will be attending the programme. She appreciated the efforts of Jagmohan Mago, Co Co-ordinator of the FDP and stated that the eminent speakers for the programme who would be from IIT, IIM, State Universities, Private Institutes and Successful Entrepreneurs would add to the knowledge pool of academic material on entrepreneurship.
