FDP on “Aerospace Engineering Application & Beyond” held at GNA University
The 2 days FDP was supported by eminent experts
Jalandhar: GNA University organised two days Faculty Development Program on “Aerospace Engineering Application & Beyond”. The faculties from different universities, researchers, and other participants from industry all over the globe participated in this FDP.
The 2 days FDP was supported by eminent experts. The Day-1, started with Er. Neha Pannu, Research fellow, SEMICONDUCTOR Lab., ISRO, Mohali. She discussed about the Basics of VLSI, SCL Lab-Insights and Facilities, Importance of electronics in aerospace engineering, Avionics, Electronic devices used in Space, Electronics in Aerospace System Satellites, Memory Devices with its applications in Space, Radiation Hardening, Selecting components for aerospace and Future Scope.
The second expert Er. Kavita Mitkari, a Research Associate, Space Applications Center, ISRO covered uber cool topic “Remote Sensing and applications, Geographic information system, digital image processing and Cryosphere. She shared a very valuable knowledge with the participants.
The second day commenced with new hope, enthusiasm among the participants to learn something new from the great experts, Dr. Subash Chander, Scientist F, Joint Director, TBRL, DRDO, Chandigarh & Dr. T K Jindal, Professor & Head of the Aerospace Engineering Department, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh integrated with Dr. Bharat Ankur Dogra & Mr. Shivam, who worked on Pulse Detonation Technology. The lecture was delivered on the very hot topic “Introduction to Pulse Detonation Propulsion”. They discussed about the Deflagration to Detonation, advantages and disadvantages of DDT, factors affecting the DDT Processes, CJ conditions, PDE with its applications. And the session ended with the last expert, Dr. Harish Kumar Banga, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, GNDEC, Punjab, for sharing knowledge of 3D Printing Advance Applications.
