FDP on Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security organised by CGC Landran
A five day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security’, was kick started by Chandigarh Engineering College, CGC Landran.
Chandigarh, June 9, 2022: A five day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security’, was kick started by Chandigarh Engineering College, CGC Landran. The inaugural session of the FDP was attended by 70-plus engineering faculty members from departments of CSE, ECE and IT. The FDP would entail expert talk sessions as well as hands-on training sessions conducted by invited keynote speakers and industry experts.
The objective of the programme is to reinforce the understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning techniques & applications in addition to security of multimedia information in cyber space, in the participating faculty members as also enlightening them with the latest advancements in the field. Day one of the FDP saw Dr Mala Kalra from NITTTR, Chandigarh conducting an expert talk on Symmetric Cryptography using AES where she highlighted the significance of cryptography and advanced algorithms in multimedia domains. Other distinguished experts slated to conduct training sessions under the five day FDP include, Aanchal Singh, Solitaire Infosys, Dr. Ritu Garg, NIT Kurukshetra and Sunil, ThinkNextTechnologies, Dr. Neel Maini, CAIR, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidalaya, Haridwar, Dr. Navdeep Kanwal, Punjabi University, Patiala, among others.
Some of the key topics which will be covered by expert speakers include Machine Learning using IoT, Metaheuristic based multi objective optimization, Data Analytics for Cyber Security, among others. Hands-on training sessions will train the participants in Introduction to python libraries for data acquisition and handling, Deep learning model, machine learning algorithms with R/Weka interface.
