Naresh Gaur, Member Senate Panjab University who is always on the forefront in raising the voice for the students as well as for the teachers has requested the Vice Chancellor PU to reconsider their viewpoint in his letter to him.

He said, keeping in view the post COVID 19 situation, where the Punjab Government has directed the schools not to charge any inflated fee from the students this year. He requests the Vice Chancellor to take a lead and must have a charitable disposition in the regard that there ought to be no raise in the fee for self financed and traditional courses as well. He said PU is providing education for countless students who come from the weaker section of the society, the society which has borne the brunt of COVID 19 pandemic much more than anyone else. Where it has become difficult to arrange 2 times of meals a day for these families, how they can cope up with the burden of depositing the hiked fees for their children’s’ education?
