Ferozepur Cantt police register case against two for carrying arms in Congress rally

Ferozepur, April 4, 2014: Police Station Ferozepur Cantt have registered a case against two unidentified persons for allegedly violating model code of conduct and carrying arms in a political rally.
According to an official information received here today, Congress party had organised an election rally in the premises of Bhasin Palace on April 2, in which two persons were seen carrying arms. An information in this regard was given to Assistant Returning Officer for assembly constituency Ferozepur city by a team engaged in videography of the event. The ARO concerned got a detailed report about it from In-charge of Video Viewing Team and wrote to District Police Chief for initiating action against the alleged accused. Finally, an FIR was registered against two unidentified persons.
District Police Chief Rahul Singh and Nodal Officer for Elections (Security) Lakhvir Singh SP(H) said legal action would be initiated against the alleged accused after further investigating into the matter and watching the video.
