Ferozepur is corona-free district as reports of 10th suspected patient too tests negative: DC
Exhorts people to strictly follow the curfew imposition and government's guidelines to maintain this status
Ferozepur: Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Mr. Kulwant Singh on Saturday once again maintained that the district Ferozepur was Corona-Free as lab reports of 10th suspected patient has also tested negative.
Divulging the details, the deputy commissioner said that the sample of this patient was sent to VRDL government medical college Amritsar, which subsequently tested negative. He said that with the result of this report all the 10 patients have been tested negative in the district so far.
The deputy Commissioner exhorted the people of Ferozepur to strictly follow the curfew imposition to maintain this corona-free status besides emphasizing the need of being extra vigilant and take more precautions to prevent the virus spread. He urged people to follow the self-quarantine during the curfew period and turn it into a mass movement so that the Corona Virus could be kept away from the district.
Mr. Kulwant Singh said that people must follow the guidelines issued by the state government and stay back at their homes as that was the only way to avoid this deadly disease adding he said that the elaborate arrangements were made to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential goods including groceries, medicines, vegetables-fruits, milk products, etc besides the door to door distribution of dry ration and food packets for people in distress.
While Civil Surgeon Dr. Navdeep Singh said the sample of 10th suspected patient was taken on April 9 and was sent for the Lab test which tested negative. He said that all the other nine samples were also tested negative.
