Ferozepur teachers being trained for PAS through webinars
The teachers of each block are being roped in for imparting two- day training through Zoom Meeting App
Ferozepur: To train the teachers to know the nuances and techniques of Punjab Achievement Survey (PAS), webinars of teachers of all the eleven educational blocks of the district are being organised to gear them up for the National Achievement Survey (NAS) Tests, which will be conducted later in the ongoing session. The teachers of each block are being roped in for imparting two- day training through Zoom Meeting App.
In a new feature of the training, the teachers are being segmented into the “break- up rooms” where the teachers are made to involve in a brain- storming session through discussions on the topic related with teaching- learning process before they are switched over to the main Zoom training, in which a thorough and detailed knowledge is imparted to the teachers with regard to PAS tests to be conducted throughout the session to enable the students to have more and more practice before they appear in the final NAS Tests.
Divulging more detail about the training for PAS, District Mentor for English and SST Gurwinder Singh said that PAS is a rehearsal for NAS which will be conducted later in the year. PAS allows both the students and the teachers to have considerable practice through periodical tests. This will pave the way for the students to go through NAS without any difficulty.
Deputy Education Officer Komal Arora informed that teachers of all the subjects are being trained through Zoom Training sessions conducted by the expert teams of teachers. All the eleven blocks namely Guruharsahai 1 and 2, Ghall Khurd 1 and 2, Zira 1,2 and 3 and Ferozepur 1,2,3 and 4 are being included in the training as per the schedule already issued to them.
Meenakshi Dhawan, an English teacher posted at Government School, Bare Ke said that the training has introduced to the teachers with many new concepts like “Remember- based, Understanding- based and Application- based” learning to achieve the broader goals of education.
