Jalandhar/Ludhiana, November 1, 2012: City women were seen enthused today in view of the festival of married women (Suhagins)- the Karvachauth.
The women keep fast on this day for the well being and long life of their husbands and take food late in the evening after offering `arghaya’ to the moon.
The festival falls on November 2.
Women were seen getting decorating their arms and hands with mehndi from designers today.
Similar was the situation in Ludhiana. A large number of women were even seen getting their hands and arms decorated with mehndi in city areas, including Ghumar Mandi. Women were also visiting beauty parlours for the purpose.
