Fever check-ups and sampling camps started to ensure testing of maximum people
Deputy Commissioner inaugurates first camp at ESI Hospital
Ludhiana: The Punjab Government has decided to hold free fever check-up and sampling camps at various places in the district Ludhiana to ensure a maximum number of people tested. This special campaign will last for 21 days ie three weeks, during which the treatment of the affected patients will be started by testing as many people as possible. The first camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma at the local ESI Hospital today.
Disclosing this here today Mr Sharma said that at present Ludhiana district was going through peak period. Today, there is a need to test as many people as possible to identify the affected patients. In order to control this disease more than five thousand samples were being taken in Ludhiana district so that the treatment of patients could be started as soon as possible.
He said that in such camps people over 30 years of age who have any disease would be examined. In addition, anyone over the age of 40 can get tested. He said that this camp would be relocated on a daily basis. So barley can cover maximum population in these 21 days.
Mr Sharma said that now on the direction of Punjab government no sticker is being affixed outside the house of any patient who is home quarantined. He appealed the people to come forward to get their tests done for the success of Mission Fateh launched by the Punjab government so that the disease could be eradicated as soon as possible. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Amarjit Singh Bains and Health Department officials and doctors were present on the occasion.
