FICCI FLO Chennai Chapter celebrates its Silver Jubilee

Chennai, August 1, 2018: The Chennai Chapter of the women's wing of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), FLO today experienced a milestone achievement as it celebrated its successful 25 year-long journey. With a focus on empowering women, the celebration witnessed the launch of Wellness of Women (WOW) App, a tie up activity with Apollo Hospitals by Dr. Preetha Reddy, Vice – Chairperson, Apollo Hospital. Additionally, Ms. Pinky Reddy, National President, FLO inaugurated ‘The Chola Collection’ an exhibition showcasing traditional South Indian Textiles, Jewellery and Craft works. Attended by dignitaries and FICCI FLO members pan India, the celebration saw several cultural activities showcasing the rich heritage of Chennai. The evening witnessed fashion show presenting Kanjivaram sarees and jewellery to showcase traditional fashion and lifestyle of Tamil Nadu. Furthermore, FICCI FLO Chennai hosted the National Governing Body Meet of FLO. Past Presidents Dr. V.L Indira Dutt, Ms. Kavitha Dutt, Ms. Usha Krishnan and Ms. Surekha Kothari were felicitated during the inauguration. “The Chennai Chapter of FLO is celebrating its silver jubilee and as a part of the celebrations, FLO has organised its National Governing body meet in Chennai with an aim to promote entrepreneurship among women in the state. FLO has always been encouraging and facilitating women to showcase their talents, skills, experiences and energies across sectors. The WOW App has been launched specifically to address women’s health needs and to keep her health in check. This App combines the expertise of renowned doctors online with the convenience of consulting them at any time”, said Ms. Pinky Reddy, National President, FICCI FLO.
