FICO celebrated World Bicycle Day
Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) celebrated World Bicycle Day by cake cutting at Bombay Cycle House, Gill Road, Ludhiana and organised a bicycle rally.
Ludhiana, June 3, 2022: Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) celebrated World Bicycle Day by cake cutting at Bombay Cycle House, Gill Road, Ludhiana and organised a bicycle rally.
FICO also offered exclusive cash discount of Rs.1000 to its members, on purchase of bicycle from Bombay Cycle House on World Bicycle Day.
Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, FICO said that the resolution for World Bicycle Day recognises the uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the Bicycle, which has been in use for two centuries, and that it is a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport. The bicycle as a symbol of human progress and advancement promotes tolerance, mutual understanding and respect and facilitates social inclusion and a culture of peace. The bicycle further is a symbol of sustainable transport and conveys a positive message to foster sustainable consumption and production, and has a positive impact on climate.
Rajeev Jain, General Secretary, FICO said on world cycle day, let's pledge to promote cycling as regular cycling stimulates and improves your heart, lungs and circulation, reducing your risk of cardiovascular diseases. Cycling strengthens your heart muscles, lowers resting pulse and reduces blood fat levels. Moreover, cycling cuts down on greenhouse gas emissions, reduces air pollutants with zero-emission, reduces noise pollution, and reduces traffic congestion.
