FICO delegation meets Chief Engineer PSPCL central zone Rashpal Singh

Ludhiana, May 22, 2014: A delegation of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) met the Chief Engineer central zone Rashpal Singh under the leadership of Gurmeet Singh Kular (President FICO) regarding to withdraw retrospective power factor surcharge bills on small power (SP) consumer  the delegation claim that this power factor surcharge is a big financial burden on SP consumers. Only Large Supply (LS) & Medium Supply consumers are maintaining power factor because it was mandatory for them not for SP consumers but now PSPCL raised the bills with effect from 2010. It is totally unjustified to recover from SP consumers, the last date to deposit the amount was May 23 this year, said Rajiv Jain, Secretary, FICO.
Rashpal Singh, Chief Engineer, PSPCL at Ludhiana assured the delegation that in future “we have stopped this and who got the notices they can apply to the concerned executive engineer upto 1 lakh, Deputy Chief Engineer upto 4 lakh & to the Chief Engineer above 4 lakh.” And they have to deposit only 5% of the notice amount and then the case will be settled in the dispute settlement committee.
Manjinder Singh Sachdeva, President, Bicycle Research & Development organization (BRADO), Jagatvir Singh President Ludhiana Bicycle & Engineering Park, Harpal Singh Bhamber President Janta Nagar Small Scale Manufacturers Association, Bachittar Singh were among those present.
S.K.Gupta Deputy Chief Engineer and P.S.Dhaliwal deputy chief engineer also attended the meeting.
