FICO demands withdraw of water disposal charges

Ludhiana, December 6, 2017: Today, delegation of Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organization popularly known as FICO under the chairmanship of S.Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, FICO met Madam Anita Darshi, Zonal Commissioner, Zone-C Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, and discuss regarding the major prevailing issues as under:
• Notice regarding Water Disposable Charges
Many Industries falling under Industrial Area C has received the notice regarding water and disposal charges from Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. But in reality, the sewerage system has been laid in industrial area see in the year 2016 itself. And the water supply pipes have been laid but the supply has not started as yet. But municipal corporation has issued notice regarding water and disposable charges with retrospective rate for the last 10 years which is totally unjustified with industry so we request you to withdraw this notice with immediate effect.
• Poor condition of roads and open manholes in ward number 65 & 66.
Many roads are dismantled in ward no. 65 & 66, neither the carpet nor the concrete has been laid as yet on those roads, there are many pot holes on the roads causing damage to moving vehicles, also cause traffic jams. Even the main holes are kept open, inviting accidents every now and then. You are requested to take immediate action and resolve the problem.
• Beautification of Parks
Industry is ready to adopt the Parks in the Zone C, and work with the Municipal Corporation for the beautification of those parks. Zone C should be one of the model zone of Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. FICO is ready to contribute in it.
• Encroachments on Slip Road, adjoining G.T. Road from Dhandari to Sherpur Chowk Ludhiana
Slip road is the prime road for the movement in Ludhiana, and there are many encroachments that can be seen from dhandari to sherpur on slip road adjoining G. T. Road Ludhiana, there are wrongly parked vehicles mainly trucks, illegal slums on the sides of the road, that is creating a hindrance for the movement of traffic on the slip road, especially in the peak hours for traffic flow, morning and evening. So you are requested to check the encroachments & give relief to the traffic.
• Swacch Bharat Scheme
FICO demanded that in Vishwakarma Park under Amrut Scheme, toilets should be made.
Anita Darshi PCS Zonal Commissioner Zone C Municipal Corporation Ludhiana assured the delegation that will discuss the issue with the Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ludhiana & related higher authorities and do the needful regarding the notice issued in industrial Area C. she also ensured that the speedy action will be taken for the road carpeting and removal of encroachments on slip road, adj. G.T. Road., also the regarding the beautification of parks she said Vishwakarma Park on Jaimal Road with be installed with Toilets under the Amrut Scheme of Centre Government, and other work regarding the adoption of parks by industry shall also be done at priority.
