FICO-IamSMEofIndia interacted with newly appointed Secretary MSME AK Sharma

Ludhiana: FICO-IamSMEofIndia organized a Online Session with Secretary MSME Government of India, Mr. A.K. Sharma Secretary MSME along with Mrs. Alka Arora Joint Secretary SME Division, Ministry of MSME Government of India, were the key note speaker on the occasion along with Shri Sudhir Garg IAS Deputy Secretary. FICO-IamSMEofIndia said that Despite 20 Lakh Crore package, there is no direct benefit to the MSME Sector. Government is focusing that an MSME should borrow more loan to compensate their existing loans, instead the government should have introduced a Special Package for MSME Sector.
 
There was a discussion in detail about the Impacts of COVID-19 on MSMEs & Exporters, along with the survival & revival measures to be taken care off by the industry as well as the government. FICO-IamSMEofIndia demanded special package for MSME, there is a need of a Special Package for Trade & Industry which is the backbone of the Indian economy. It is requested to introduce a turnover based special package which should be dependent on GST Sales Return of Financial Year 2019-20, The returns till February have been submitted, based on that the average annual sales can be calculated and the package should be introduced providing 25% relief to the micro Sector, 20% to The Small Sector, 15% to Medium Sector & 10% to the Large Sector.
 
Mr. A.K. Sharma Secretary MSME assured that Our Prime Minister is focusing on the MSME Sector, in the Post Lockdown period there will be more reliefs & packages for the MSME Sector.
