FICO opposes infrastructure cess of 25 paisa per liter on oil prices
Urges state government to roll back immediately
Ludhiana: Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization(FICO) strongly opposed the imposition of Infrastructure Cess of 25 Paisa / Liter on Oil Prices & demanded State government to immediate roll back.
Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO said that the prices of petrol and diesel are already very expensive in Punjab when compared to the neighboring states, now the government has put additional burden of 25 paisa per liter on it. It is merely an insensitive measure in these difficult times. The prices of Petrol crossed the mark of Rs.92 per liter & Prices of Diesel crossed mark of Rs.83 per liter, the government should immediately rollback the hike.
Rajeev Jain General Secretary FICO said that the government should be trying to increase liquidity in market rather than increasing the prices of Fuels in the country, this increase in the price of fuels will only spark inflation. It is the high time that the government should curb the ever-increasing prices of petrol and diesel, otherwise the already down economy of the country will fall further.
