Ludhiana, June 22, 2023: The Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisation (FICO) organized a seminar under the leadership of Gurmeet Singh Kular President along with Ajit Lakra Head Textile Division FICO, at Sutlej Club Ludhiana, about a new water treatment and water recovery system with Zero Liquid Discharge. This system is called "Aquatron" which is based on FPSTAR, a patented technology by Scalene Livprotec, Bengaluru. This water recovery system can provide a permanent solution to the effluent treatment problems faced by our existing dyeing and electro-plating industries as well as other water-intensive industries also.
The system provides Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) based on the principle of Physics without the use of any chemicals or biological contaminants. In simpler words, it converts TDS into TSS with a single pass system, backed by Artificial Intelligence.
Scalene Livprotec has initiated a couple of pilot projects with Bengaluru Municipal Corporation where "AQUATRON" was put to the test in treating Leachate, 2 years ago. The units have been successfully operating ever since. The water recovered post-treatment is potable and is of IS:10500 quality.
"AQUATRON" provides customized solutions, and caters to a wide spectrum of industries including Distilleries, Sugar, Textiles, Dyeing Chemicals, Tanneries, Food Processing, Paper, Oil, Pharmaceuticals, Hotels & Resorts, etc.
Dr. Rajesh Bhat, the C.E.O. of Scalene Livprotec, Bengaluru, and his team gave a detailed technical presentation on "AQUATRON" which was followed by a highly interactive Q & A session. Many leading industrialists from Ludhiana Dyeing and Electroplating industries, including Mr. Gurmeet Kular, President FICO, and Mr. Pankaj Sharma Member of the Punjab Pollution Control Board attended the seminar and were impressed by the technology and its far-reaching positive effects on the Environment and its sustainability. It will help the textile & Electroplating Industry at Large.
As per the presentation made by the company, some of the salient features of this technology are as follows:
• The space required to install this system is about 60% less vis- a - vis the existing technologies.
• The power consumption per kWh/ Kld is a fraction if compared with the conventional Water treatment methods.
• The operating cost to run the system is about 30% lesser than any other technology available.
• The use of Artificial Intelligence makes "AQUATRON" unique and the involvement of Manpower to run the plant is a bare minimum.
Dr. Rajesh Bhat and his team from Scalene Livprotec gave an assurance that they will pull all stops to make the system more Cost-effective and user-friendly so that maximum industries can enjoy the benefits of this technology and also put an end to the water-related problems plaguing the Industry and Environment as such.
Amongst Present Were Subhash Saini of Ekta Dyeing and processing industry, Varun Mittal of Kuddu Knit Process Limited, Vivik Lakra of M/s Superfine Knitters Limited & More than 100 Entrepreneurs attended the Session
