FICO senior VP & general secretary to be awarded with Punjab State MSME Awards
Ludhiana, December 3, 2019: Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2019 is going to be held at Indian School of Business on December 5 and 6 this year. Capt Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister, Punjab will award the Punjab State MSME Awards on December 5 at Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2019. Punjab Government has launched the Punjab State MSME Awards to felicitate the MSMEs who have registered tremendous business growth and displayed excellence in product quality. This goes in line with the vision to recognize and promote the visionary spirit of the entrepreneurs of Punjab. According to a release issued here today by FICO, it has been stated that “we are proud to share that the Government of Punjab announced six Punjab State MSME Awards, and out of six, two awards goes to FICO’s office-bearers”. These office-bearers of FICO are Vipan Mittal Senior Vice President FICO & Managing Director Kudu Knit Process (P) Limited and Manjinder Singh Sachdeva General Secretary FICO & Managing Director Citizen Buechel BikeTech (P) Limited. Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, FICO congratulated both the FICO office-bearers and said it is a tremendous achievement of our fellow office-bearer whose work will be rewarded at state level function. “It is a proud moment for FICO”, he added. Meanwhile, it is learnt that K. K. Seth Chairman FICO along with Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO will attend the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2019, to be held at Indian School of Business on 05th & 6th December 2019. Seth requested Capt Amarinder Singh CM Punjab and Manpreet Singh Badal Finance Minister Punjab, that the government of Punjab should also focus on the existing industries in Punjab, which are the tax payers and pays huge amount to government in shape of GST, Income Tax, Property Tax, Octroi etc., the government is working to get the new industries in Punjab and ignoring the existing ones, which also needs the support of the government. Kular said that in order to avail the benefits of a new unit, for an existing unit, it is mandatory to invest 50% of its original fixed capital investment, that clause should be abolished. Rather benefits should be available to any industry who invests any amount in its fixed capital, as the benefit is at the volume of investment i.e. benefits up to 150% of the investment made in F.C.I. Kular also requested the Chief Minister and FM Punjab that the ZED clause should be abolished for fiscal incentives for Existing as well as new industries in Punjab, as the Industries of Punjab is not that advance to meet the compliance of ZED.
