Final account reconciliation meeting held with contesting candidates/election agents

Ludhiana, June 30, 2024: The final account reconciliation meeting with all the contesting candidates and election agents under Ludhiana parliamentary constituency was conducted at Bachat Bhawan on Sunday. 

The meeting was attended by Expenditure Observers Pankaj Kumar, Chetan D Kalamkar, DEO Sakshi Sawhney, ADC Anmol Singh Dhaliwal along with the expenditure monitoring team, contesting candidates, representatives from various political parties, and other election officials. 

During the meeting, a detailed examination was conducted on the candidates' documents, such as receipts, invoices, and bank statements, to ensure that all campaign expenses were made in adherance to legal and ethical standards, promoting transparency in the election process. Furthermore, the exercise included a thorough assessment of the candidates' actual spending with shadow registers. 

Upon the completion of the assessment, the observers expressed their satisfaction with the accounting procedures carried out by the contesting candidates and election agents in accordance with the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines.
