Financial Advisor delivers a talk at PAU
Financial Advisor Manik Suri, Director, The Investment Expert, and an ex-student of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), delivered a guest lecture at School of Business Studies (SBS), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), today.
Ludhiana, December 12, 2023: Financial Advisor Manik Suri, Director, The Investment Expert, and an ex-student of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), delivered a guest lecture at School of Business Studies (SBS), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), today. Holding 12 years of vast experience in various sectors and being IRDA, AMFI and SEBI certified, Suri delved into a comprehensive spectrum of financial topics, covering finance fundamentals; banking intricacies such as savings, recurring and fixed deposits; and deposit insurance. The discourse extended to digital payment methods, insurance types, equity investing requisites, and the advantages of mutual funds, thus emphasizing diversification, liquidity and systematic investment plans (SIP). He also shed light on vital aspects like financial planning basics, significance of multiple income sources, and securing retirement. The session underscored the importance of financial literacy in navigating the intricate landscape of personal finance, providing valuable insights into managing and growing wealth wisely.
Dr Ramandeep Singh, Director, SBS, welcomed the key speaker, and emphasised the importance of diligence and commitment in developing the managerial skills of future managers. “For this reason, the SBS faculty hosts case studies, management games, guest lectures, and group discussions to prepare students for competitive employment,” he added. Dr Singh encouraged the students to seize opportunities to learn new things.
This invited lecture was organised under the supervision of Dr LM Kathuria, Professor of Business Management, who said that SBS was looking forward for more industry-institute interactions to create a lively atmosphere for scholarly discussion and education.
