Find even anti-farmer word in both farm laws: Anurag Thakur challenges Congress

Dharamshala: Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur said that both the laws on agriculture are ready for open debate with Congress anywhere. “I challenge the Congress party to find out even a word which is anti-farmer in both laws”, said Minister.
Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur was addressing a press conference in Dharamshala on Sunday. He said that agricultural laws are beneficial for farmers and will give more selling opportunities to the farmers. He added that the Congress is trying to wander the farmers, but the truth is that the farmer can now sell his crop to any person or firm. The firm contracting to raise the crop of the farmer has to pay for it in three days, and the dispute if any will be resolved by the concerned SDM’s within 30 days. He said that the Modi government is working in the interest of farmers. The Modi government has given free ration to the poor and LPG cylinders during the Corona period too.
Anurag Thakur said that the campus of Himachal Pradesh Central University will soon be built in Dharamshala and Dehra and its DPR has already been resubmitted. Answering a question on cancelling of few National Highway projects in Himachal, the Minister said that national highways in the state will be built on the basis of priority and main report of the state government.
He said that the proposed Bhanupalli – Bilaspur – Leh rail line is very important as per the national defence. Its first 20kms of land acquisition has been completed on Bhanupalli section and the work on land acquisition on next 20 kms is also underway, whereas similar activity is also going on this track from Leh side. Minister said that taking into the tourism angle the state of Himachal requires 2-3 big airports. “At the moment Dharamshala airport is the only one, which could be extended easily. All political parties should act together for the execution of extension work, so that its benefits could be passed over to the public of the area.”
He assured that there is no shortage of money for development in Modi’s government.
