Rang-Srijan, the festival of lines, colors and creativity, encompassing various colors of creativity and providing a powerful platform to the creativity of the students, was concluded at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak on Tuesday. Under the Rang Mahotsav mega event of MDU, the fine arts related event Rang Srijan was organized on 11-12 March under the aegis of the Department of Visual Arts in collaboration with the Student Welfare Office.
Rohtak, March 12, 2024: Rang-Srijan, the festival of lines, colors and creativity, encompassing various colors of creativity and providing a powerful platform to the creativity of the students, was concluded at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak on Tuesday. Under the Rang Mahotsav mega event of MDU, the fine arts related event Rang Srijan was organized on 11-12 March under the aegis of the Department of Visual Arts in collaboration with the Student Welfare Office.
Coordinator of Rang Srijan and HOD Visual Arts, Sanjay Kumar said that in this two-day event, students displayed their talent in painting, POP carving, printmaking and photography. Students also created wall paintings and mural work. The Visual Arts Department premises were beautifully decorated by the participating students. Students set up stalls of creative arts products and carry catchers etc. They also gave an introduction to art-entrepreneurship.
In the concluding session, Director Public Relations Sunit Mukherjee said that positive social messages can be given through fine arts. It is also a powerful medium of expression against social evils, He added. Sunit Mukherjee gave the message of Art of Social Change to the students.
HOD Sanjay Kumar expressed gratitude to Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh and DSW Prof. Randeep Rana for patronizing Rang Srijan. Director Youth Welfare Dr. Jagbir Rathi said that life is incomplete without colours. He said that in future, Rang Srijan will make its presence felt at the national as well international level. Assistant Director Youth Welfare Dr. Pratap Rathi, Coordinator University Outreach Dr. Surendra Singh Yadav, Dr. Anjali Doohan, Dr. Rajesh, MDUTA President Dr. Vikas Siwach, MDU non-teaching employees Union President Rajkumar, PRO Pankaj Nain, research scholars and students of the department, participants and art lovers etc. were present on the occasion.
