Firearms recovered by police
Tightening its noose around the illegal activities, the police have recovered 11 pistols (.32 bore) along with 7 magazines. This is third recovery of illegal firearms and ammunition during the last four days by the police.

While divulging details, SSP Saumya Mishra said that following the inputs, a naka had been laid near Talwandi Bhai main chowk, during which two unidentified persons who were coming on a bike were stopped by the police party.
The SSP said that the accused were carrying a black bag and when they were asked to open the bag, the accused fled from the spot and even left their bike on the spot. “During the checking of the bag, 11 (.32 bore) along with 7 magazines, were recovered. A hunt has been launched to nab the accused and soon they will be arrested. The investigation is on to check where these firearms were going to be used”, said SSP.
Meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons under section 25 of Arms Act at Talwandi Bhai police station.
