Ferozepur, December 21, 2012: The firing incident in village Mahia Wala Khurd created a panic in the area when one person died on the spot and other serious injured.
Giving this information, Inspector Surinder Pal, police station Zira informed that Sulakhan Singh allegedly fired from his licensed gun 12 bore towards Dyal Singh uncle of Sulakhan Singh which hit in the head and second fire on Karamjit Singh, the complainant.
During this firing incident, Dyal Singh died on the spot and Karamjit Singh seriously injured, who was shifted to DMC, Ludhiana where he is reported to be under treatment.
He further said, the cause of the dispute is the personal enmity over the engagement of labourer by Sulakhan Singh who was earlier working with the uncle of complainant Dyal Singh and the dispute arose over the settlement of account of the labourer between the two parties.
As per the sources, a case has been registered under Sections 302, 307, 148, 149 and 25, 54, 19 of Arms Act against Sulakhan Singh, Nachhatar Singh, Gurvnder Singh and Prminder Singh of Mahian Wala village.
No arrest has so far been made.
The police are, however, investigating into the matter to proceed further in this case.
