First Counselling for M Sc seats at UHF on Tuesday; 2nd counselling on 28th July

The first counselling for the M Sc programmes of the Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni is going to be held on 17th July, 2018.

This year over 900 students had applied for the various M Sc programmes of the university. Due to the large number of candidates, the university in its first counselling has called the applicants who have passed their B Sc Horticulture/ Forestry/ Agriculture or Biotechnology degrees from State Agricultural Universities under the ICAR-AU of education. The remaining applicants will be called for the second counselling, which is to be held at the University’s LS Negi Auditorium on 28th July and the detailed information will be available on the university website on 24th July. The procedure for admission has been explained in the university prospectus.

This year the university is offering M Sc in its College of Horticulture and College of Forestry located at the main campus at Nauni, and College of Horticulture and College of Horticulture and Forestry (COH&F), Neri. The specializations offered in College of Horticulture are Entomology, Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Food Technology, Fruit Science, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Seed Science and Technology, Spices, Plantation and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and Vegetable Science.

In College of Forestry, candidates have the option of pursuing M Sc in Agricultural Economics, Agroforestry, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Forest Genetic Resources, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Microbiology, Silviculture, Soil Science, Statistics, Watershed Management and Wood Science and Technology. In COH&F Neri, candidates can opt for Agroforestry, Entomology, Food Tech, Fruit Science, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Soil Science and Vegetable Science.
