First Day of 13th International Multidisciplinary Conference at PCTE Group of Institutes

Ludhiana, March 20, 2025: PCTE Group of Institutes proudly announces the successful organization of the 13th International Multidisciplinary Conference, marking the first day of a three-day event, sponsored by AU Small Finance Bank and the Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE). 13th International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research, centered around the rapidly growing theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its transformative impact across various fields of study.The conference, which spans three days, is not just a platform for showcasing cutting-edge research but serves as a dynamic space for exchanging ideas, sparking innovation, and catalyzing actionable solutions. The theme of Artificial Intelligence underscores the crucial importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the profound synergy that emerges when researchers and practitioners come together to explore how AI can drive meaningful progress across a range of domains.
As part of the inaugural ceremony, the event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and the dispelling of ignorance. This ritual marked the commencement of the conference, setting the tone for the academic discussions ahead . The dignitaries, including Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, Dr. Naresh Sachdev, Dr. Harmeet Singh, and the esteemed directors of the PCTE Group, participated in the traditional Saraswati Vandana and ceremonial lamp lighting, setting the tone for the enlightening sessions to follow.
The day featured notable keynote speakers, including Dr. Manjeet Singh, Dr. Chetan Vyas, Dr. Buta Singh, Dr. Abhay Sachdev, Dr. Rupinder Singh, and Dr. Yogesh Chhabra, who shared their valuable insights with the audience. Among the notable speakers was Dr. Manjeet Singh, Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. With over 28 years of experience, Dr. Singh shared insights into smart agriculture, AI, robotics, and mechatronics, highlighting his innovative National Agriculture Innovation Projects and advancements in leveling machinery.
Dr. Chetan Vyas, Dean of Planning & Development at United University, Prayagraj, also took the stage, presenting his research on Artificial Intelligence and its application as a powerful tool in academia and industry. His engaging speech centered on how AI can serve as an assistant to help create artificial life.
The conference continued with enriching talks from Dr. Yogesh Chhabra, Director/Principal at Rungta Group, Bhilai, who discussed the interaction of AI with water management and energy sustainability. Dr. Rupinder Singh, Professor at the National Institute of Technical Teacher Training and Research, Chandigarh, delved into advancements in additive manufacturing and AI applications in veterinary sciences.
Dr. Abhay Sachdev is a Senior Scientist E1 at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, specializing in Nanobiotechnology, Biosensors, and Microfluidics shared his expertise on data collection, model training, and predictive analytics, while Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu is the Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda.emphasized the importance of quality inputs for AI systems and their potential to create new opportunities.
A panel discussion on "AI - Transforming the Future" was held, featuring Dr. Chetan Vyas, Dr. Abhay Sachdev, and Dr. Meenakshi Kaushik (Lloyd Group of Institutes, Noida), moderated by Dr. Kapil Prashar . A unique session featured the Department of Hospitality, who presented the “Samosa Saga,” a year-long project that resulted in 400 varieties of samosas, including frozen versions that can be stored for up to six months.
The conference sessions spanned a range of disciplines, including hotel management, tourism, pharmacy, engineering, and technology. The quiz and GD competitions were highly competitive, with Ripanjot and Harhit Mittal (MBA 2024) clinching the first prize, followed by Ganika and Ishaan (BTTM 2024) in second place. Pratham (MBA 2023), Ketan (B.Tech 2023), and Ansh Kumar (B.Pharmacy 2023) secured the top positions in the GD competition.
