Government withdraws restriction of DMs pass from tomorrow
Dharamshala: Dharamshala Airport on Monday came live when a 76-seater aircraft landed here 33 passengers on Monday noon. Luggage, gadgets and passengers were sanitized at the airport before they left for their destinations. District administration had a detailed meeting with the airport authorities before the arrival of the flight for the taking safety measures in view of the covid-19. Airport authorities said that the flight later returned to Delhi, two other flights, one from Delhi and one from Chandigarh were cancelled on technical issues. Dharamshala receives two flights from Delhi and one from Chandigarh daily.
The district administration in Dharamshala has amended the advisory to the air travellers issued yesterday. The clause of obtain an entry pass from the DC Concerned district has been withdrawn now. Earlier, the incoming person will have to show the entry pass got from the concerned DMs on de-boarding the flight at Gaggal airport of Dharamshala, which he/she have to get online before boarding the plan.
The advisory still say that only persons with valid address proof of Himachal (HP resident) should book ticket to Dharamshala. DC advised the air travellers, “Plan your flight booking accordingly.”
DC Kangra Rakesh Prajapati said, “HP residents coming from Red Zone areas and those with ILI symptoms shall be put in institutional quarantine. And the persons, the non-residents of HP/ Tourist shall not be allowed entry in to the district and they shall immediately be put in institutional quarantine before sending them back on their own expenses.
Himachal has so far registered 221 corona positive cases, 66 of them cured and 5 lost their lives.
