Ludhiana, May 3, 2015: The first of its kind-real Belgian Chocolate Café, Belfrance is being launched in Ludhiana. Christophe Van Overstraeten, the Trade & Investment Commissioner, Embassy of Belgium in India will be officially launching the Café in Ludhiana on May 4 at 5:45 PM. Inspired by the atmosphere of chocolate-filled streets of Brussels and the mouth-feel and aroma of Belgian chocolates, this upcoming chocolate café, Belfrance will use the finest Chocolate imported from Belgium, backed by state-of-the-art chocolate kitchen equipment from Selmi, Italy.
"If you bite onto our chocolate, you will experience getting transported to Belgium”, says Harjinder Singh Kukreja, the owner of the Café, who travelled to Belgium and brought concept to Ludhiana. Harjinder goes on to say, “We wish to focus on creating awareness for real Belgian chocolates in Punjab and also generate inquisitiveness about Belgium and the chocolate industry”.
True chocolate in India coupled with his legacy of being prominent pioneering hoteliers and bakers in this region, Harjinder Kukreja has ventured in this domain with training at the Brussels-based Chocolate Shops and Factories taken extensive guided tours of chocolate boutiques and cafes in Brussels.
Planning to expand not only in the north of the country but in various parts of India, we see tremendous possibilities of trade expansion.
“ A walk through gives an insight into what the first café looks like and also about my trip to Belgium from where the dream to bring real Belgian chocolate to Ludhiana became a vision”, says Kukreja.
