Fit India event sees residents dance for fitness and good health
It was a mega dance and fitness marathon
Chandigarh: A mega dance and fitness marathon `Fit India’ saw children, youth and middle aged people dancing to well-orchestrated steps initiated by established dance instructors at the community hall of Panjab University here. Damp Events organized the unique activity along-with 4ever Dance & Fitness Studio. The chief guest was Shashank Anand, SSP, Traffic, Chandigarh and the famous Tik-Tok star Mr.MNV (Manav Chhabra) who was the celebrity guest. Roadies fame actor Rannvijay Singha’s mother Baljit Kaur Singha and father Lt Gen(Retd.) Igbal Singh Singha were also present as guests' of honour.
HLP Social Square - was the title sponsor of the event and Supria Arora, the makeover partner. A reputed brand Ozi Gym & Spa supported the event as the fitness partner. Radio Mirchi was the happiness partner of the activity, IIHFM located at Piccadily Square Mall supported this event by the means of marketing. Chateauvince Jewellers, Panchkula supported as a `Gifting Partner’.
Dipesh Sekhri an MTV fame artist & Director of Damp Events said, “We organized this event as our contribution to PM's Fit India movement in an Endeavour to usher in fitness and happiness in tricity residents' lives. A unique blend of dance and fitness was the theme of the marathon. The event also announced entry of Damp Events in the field of organizing dance & fitness related events. We will be organizing 'Fit India' dance & fitness marathon every year.”
Uditi Goyal, Director, 4ever Dance & Fitness Studio said, “In the event people took part in a continuous dance & fitness session which went on for 90 minutes and included dance & fitness genres like bhangra, zumba, aerobics, self-defence, kick boxing, Bollywood fun, yoga, tabata etc. The idea was to motivate people towards adopting fitness in their routine lives.”
Residents of tricity danced and conducted fitness drills too with full energy and enthusiasm as the famous Tik-Tok star Mr.MNV (Manav Chhabra) egged them on.
Sajan Kumar, Director, 4ever Dance & Fitness Studio said, "This event also witnessed a charity activity, where old clothes, books etc were donated for underprivileged people and children. Funds were also raised for donation for welfare of special children through an NGO – ‘Together We Can’.”
When the participants danced in colorful attires to foot tapping numbers, it presented a very nice picture. Refreshments were also served and the winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates, while the rest of the participants were given assured gifts and certificates.
