Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 4.0 at Air Force Halwara

Ludhiana: As a part of the Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 4.0 campaign, Air Force Station Halwara undertook a number of activities during the fortnight from 16 October to 31 October 2023. A Plog Run was conducted on 27 October 2023 in the birth village of the Indian Air Force Hero and Param Vir Chakra awardee, Flying Officer (Late) NJS Sekhon of Issewal (Punjab). The event was attended by next of kin of the braveheart air warrior along with SS Grewal, a renowned former hockey player and international hockey coach The activity was flagged off by Air Commodore Sandeep Chaudhary, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Halwara.
On 28 October 2023, Fit India Campaign Run was organised in Aitiana village (adopted by Air Force Station Halwara) in which more than 150 personnel from the Station participated. To culminate the month long activities, a Health Run for all personnel, family members including children of Air Force Station Halwara was organised, which saw participation of more than 1200 members, where in this sizeable team ran a distance of 7.5 km.
