Fittr announces 2020 winner of Transformation Challenges
Ludhiana Man, Akshay Gupta takes home grand prize of Mahindra Thar
Ludhiana: In its constant endeavour to motivate people to become fit, Fittr, an online fitness start-up, has declared the annual winner of its Transformation Challenge (TC) Series. The winner was selected for his consistent performance in the 9th, 10th& 11th editions of the competition and his contribution to Fittr’s online fitness community through a public voting that was conducted on the social media channels of the start-up. This year’s title went to Akshay Gupta, a Chartered Accountant from Ludhiana. He takes home the grand prize of Mahindra Thar for his fitness journey across Transformation Challenges in 2020. He was selected as the winner from amongst the 17 finalists from TC 9, 10 and 11. This included the recently announced winner of TC 11, Vihaan Rathore. TC 11 was a 12-week online challenge that ran from 1 September 2020 to November 2020 and saw more than 15,000 participants from all over the world.
Speaking about his journey, the overall winner of TC 2020, Akshay Gupta said, “I am thankful and in debted to the Fittr community for the constant love and support during my journey. My understanding of fitness basics began with becoming a part of this wonderful community, giving the confidence to participate in TC9, TC10 and now TC11. Participating in transformation challenges has helped me grow continuously and improve my overall well-being. More importantly, it has taught me that discipline, determination, commitment and consistency are the foundation to one’s success despite all the hardships. I will continue to work hard and contribute meaningfully to the Fittr community.”

FITTR was started in 2014 as a WhatsApp group by Jitendra Chouksey and later extended its reach to Facebook. In April this year, the start-up secured pre-Series A funding from Sequoia Capital and became a part of Surge, Sequoia’s rapid scale-up program for start-ups in India & Southeast Asia.
