New Delhi/Jalandhar, December 3, 2013: The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal has convicted  B.K.Sahoo, the then Chief Medical Officer, Border Security Force Academy, Tekanpur, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) and 14 other private persons i.e.  Shiv Kumar Sahoo;  Bhuri Singh; Mukesh Kumar; Vimlesh Kumar;  Charan Singh; Keshav Singh Pal; Sarvesh Kumar; Shishupal; Prakash; Veer Singh; Vijay Kumar; Omvir Singh; Harbir Singh; Vinay Kumar & Rupendra Kumar for irregularities in the recruitment of Constables in BSF. B.K.Sahoo, then CMO was sentenced to undergo five years Rigorous Imprisonment with total fine of Rs.80,000 and other private persons were sentenced Rigorous Imprisonment from six months to five years with fines ranging from Rs.10,000 to Rs.30,000, respectively.

CBI registered a case and took up the investigation from the State Police. The case was earlier registered at Police Station Billowa, District Gwalior(M.P) U/s 420, 467, 468 & 471 of IPC vide FIR No. 25/02 on 03.02.2002, on the basis of a complaint from BSF Academy, Tekanpur, Gwalior against 14 accused persons for cheating, forgery and using forged document as genuine in the recruitment of Constables (General Duty) in BSF. The case was subsequently transferred to CBI in pursuance of the Notification issued by the Govt. of India, on the consent of Madhya Pradesh Government.

After completion of investigation, a charge sheet, U/s 120B, 420, 468, 471 of IPC and  U/s 13(2) (d) & 13 (1)(d) of PC Act. 1988 was filed against  B. K. Sahoo, the then CMO, BSF Academy, Tekanpur, Gwlior( MP) and other accused persons in the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Indore on 14.09.2005. The case was transferred to the Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal on 19.01.2011 for trial.

The Trial Court found the accused persons guilty and convicted them.
