Flag hoisted at GHSC-10 to mark Celebrations of 78th Independence Day

Chandigarh, August 15, 2024: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated at Government Home Science College, Chandigarh with great enthusiasm. 

The event started with the hoisting of the national flag by the Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal followed by the National Anthem. Students gave enthralling performances on patriotic songs and showcased unity in diversity by donning the attire of different states. Tiny tots of Chaitanya Laboratory Nursery School also participated enthusiastically in the celebrations and gave mesmerising performances. NCC Cadets and NSS volunteers performed beautifully through singing and dancing on the tunes of patriotic songs. 

The Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, motivated all the students and staff of the college through her inspiring words. She highlighted the contribution and sacrifices of our freedom fighters and appealed to everyone to be united to fight against social evils to get complete freedom and extend support in transforming  our nation from developing to developed country. She also took a Pledge along with all the students and staff of the institution towards giving our best towards nation building.
