FM Manpreet Singh Badal announced grant of Rs.10 lakh for 10th Natyam Theater Festival
Minister appreciates the efforts being made by Kirti Kripal and the Natyam team to promote art and theater
Bathinda, October 4, 2021: On the fourth day of the ongoing 10th National Natyam Theater Festival at Balwant Gargi Open Air Theater located in Rose Garden, Bathinda, the finance minister of Punjab, Manpreet Singh Badal was the chief guest of the evening. Finance Minister appreciated the efforts made by Kirti Kripal and the entire team of Natyam for the promotion of art and theater in the state. On this occasion, Manpreet Singh Badal said that art is an inseparable part of life and he also encouraged organizing more such events in Punjab. Finance Minister announced a grant of Rs 10 lakhs for the Natyam team to continue such activities in the future as well, and he also informed that the construction of the auditorium with modern facilities and a sitting capacity of 2000 people will start very soon. On this occasion, KK Aggarwal, Chairman, Improvement Trust, Advocate Rajan Garg, Chairman, District Planning Board, and the team from Natyam including chairman Dr. Kashish Gupta, President Sudarshan Gupta, and Director Kirti Kripal were also present. The special guests for the evening, Rajinder Kumar Mittal, MD of BCL and Mittal Group, and Sukhmander Singh Chatha from Fatah Group of Institutions also congratulated the Natyam team for organizing the 10th drama festival and also announced financial support to the team.
On the fourth day of the 10th Natyam Drama Festival, the team from Haryana Kala Parishad presented a Haryanvi comedy-drama Saiyan Bhye Kotwal, written by Vasant Sabnis and directed by Sanjay Bhasin, which highlighted the problem of corruption and nepotism in the society. With its hilarious, the team from Haryana made the audience laughs out loud during the whole presentation.
